THE NIDO PROMISE

Four things we promise every family.

Small by design, bilingual from day one, and rooted in DC. Here is what every family can count on.

01

Bilingual from day one

Every classroom is led by native Spanish and English speakers. Children grow in two languages at the same pace they grow in confidence.

02

Small by design

Sixty-four children across six rooms — infants through Pre-K. OSSE-compliant ratios (1:4 for infants, 1:8 for preschool) mean every child is known, heard, and held by name.

03

Rooted in DC

Built by two Latina co-founders who chose DC for a reason. Our curriculum draws on the city we call home — its parks, its art, its neighborhoods.

04

Peace of mind, every day

Licensed by OSSE, secure entry, allergy-aware kitchen, and weekly updates with real photos so you never wonder what your child's day looked like.

SIX ROOMS · ONE NEST

OUR APPROACH

The right environment does the teaching.

  • 01

    Montessori-inspired materials

Real wood, real glass, real work. Children learn to care for themselves and their space through materials made to last.

  • 02

    80/20 Spanish immersion

Most of the day in Spanish, with dedicated English blocks and bilingual transitions. Children hear both languages from educators they trust.

  • 03

    Outdoor time, every day

Rain or shine. We walk to nearby parks, visit DC's monuments, and grow a small garden right at school.

  • 04

Family is part of the room

We send a real weekly note — not a generic newsletter. Parents are welcome to visit, read a book, share a recipe, or just sit on the rug.
