VISIT US

Come see the nest.

Open houses are held monthly on Saturday mornings. Bring your child, take a tour of all six rooms, meet Gabriela and Veronica, and stay for a snack. We keep them intentionally small — six families at a time so you can ask real questions and really listen to the answers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Questions families often ask us.

What is the teacher-to-child ratio? +

NIDO follows OSSE adult-to-child ratios — 1:4 for infants under 24 months, 1:8 for toddlers, and 1:10 for our Pre-K4 room — with an 80/20 Spanish immersion model across all six classrooms. With a maximum of 64 children, every educator works with a small, intimate group.

When does the application process open? +

NIDO opens Fall 2026. Families who attend an open house will be first to receive enrollment applications. We recommend visiting an open house early — with only 64 spots across six rooms, capacity fills quickly. There is no application fee to request a visit.

Does my child need to speak Spanish to enroll? +

No. NIDO is designed precisely for children who are learning both languages simultaneously. Children arrive with no Spanish, some Spanish, or as heritage speakers — and the classroom works for all of them. Our immersion model meets each child where they are. The only requirement is curiosity.

How do you handle food allergies? +

Our kitchen is nut-free by default. We work with each family individually before the first day to understand their child's specific dietary needs and allergies. Meals are prepared fresh with common allergens in mind. We never serve anything we haven't confirmed is safe for every child enrolled that day.

Do siblings receive enrollment priority? +

Yes. Siblings of currently enrolled children receive priority placement in the following enrollment year. We also offer a 10% sibling discount on the lower of the two tuition rates. Our goal is for families to stay with NIDO from infants all the way through Pre-K4.
